Broadband Expertise

Broadband Consulting Group (BBCGi) is a committed and experienced team of market research and consulting professionals who specialize in developing elegant solutions to complex technology problems in the telecommunications industry.
BBCGi has proven experience in Broadband Product Development, Telecom Management, Capital Deployment, Complex Analytical Analysis, and Business Development. Since 2003, BBCGi has been building database models and using marketing segmentation to help clients understand broadband availability and to optimize network deployment.
BBCGi has recently assisted several clients in preparing their funding applications to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service (RUS) under the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) and Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) to expand broadband service to underserved areas. As a result of its strength and history with competitive research, BBCGi specifically developed a proprietary methodology using leading-edge data collection to determine cable telephony/modem and/or DSL subscribership or adoption rates at any geographic level from the neighborhood/census block to regions of the country.
BBCGi leverages its relationships with Experian, Accudata, and other data providers to collect multiple data points on a significant sample of households in the client's targeted geography, in a way that is highly flexible and cost effective. It is the combination of automated and manual data collection specific to the area in question that allows BBCGi to be cost effective, accurate, and extremely fast in determining either broadband availability (as required for state-level broadband maps) or adoption rates (as required for other programs).
BBCGi is prepared to help you:
- Conduct web-enabled data mining, market surveys and statistical sampling to deliver market and competitive intelligence
- Gather and analyze demographic and broadband availability data necessary to complete applications to NTIA/RUS.
- Provide supporting documentation to strengthen applications.
- Construct maps by census block areas.
- Aggregate data provided by others (e.g., manage the input and loading process) to audit and compare research results with internal client databases and public and private third-party sources.
- Assemble and reformat data into a report format to meet audit and compliance requirements.
