Attention: Applicants for Funding Under NTIA/RUS’ Second and Final Round of Funding
NTIA and RUS have released separate Notices of Funding Availability for the second and final round of the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) and the Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP). The due date for applications is March 15. Applicants will need to quickly determine under which program their application should be submitted and tailor their unserved/underserved research appropriately.
BBCGi understands the revised rules for funding applications in this round and is uniquely qualified to help companies and government entities with any stage of the process, from gathering and analyzing data, to filling out the application forms, to providing supporting evidence and defensible methodologies.
BBCGi can use its tools and resources to sharpen your funding focus, including:
- Rural/non-rural analysis to verify whether your application best fits with BIP or BTOP requirements
-
Broadband availability data to support your BIP application (2 options):
- A quick assessment to determine if your proposed funding service area is above or below 50% availability – using an applied broadband penetration model based on demographics to determine availability.
- More extensive levels of statistical modeling and analysis, from web queries to call surveys to a selected number of households, to determine percentage availability and prepare a solid application (with the potential to add discretionary points) – same process as (a) but at a higher sampling rate
-
Broadband availability and subscribership data to support a served/underserved assessment for your BTOP application (2 options)
- Quick assessment for initial low-cost subscribership estimate – same process to determine availability and subscribership as in Round 1
- Deeper dive for detailed analysis and score optimization that incorporates a sample of households and web crawling research in a “comprehensive communities” approach to availability and adoption – same process to determine availability and subscribership as in Round 1
Whether you are a new applicant or someone who wants to strengthen your application, contact BBCGi to help you meet your funding goals.
